So you’re still looking for that Magical touch? Here is some information to help you in choosing the proper placement for a vocalist at your wedding.

Appropriate timing for a vocalist during your ceremony includes: before your wedding, during Prelude (the time before guests are seated), before or during seating of the mothers and immediate family, as processional (as bridal party walks up the isle), during unity candle lighting or if you are not lighting a unity candle it is appropriate to plan a solo after your vows but before the exchanging of rings.

For cocktail hour, dinner, and party time our vocalists can sing any combination; cocktail hour, dinner, both cocktail hour and dinner,  your first dance or parent dances or even stay for some party starter songs and sing your last dance.  All of our vocalists offer complete flexibility.  Performances range from low key (just standing behind the microphone and singing) to interactive (down on one knee or taking one of your guests by hand while singing…)-whatever you prefer!

Visit here for more information and samples of our very talented vocalists!

Since graduating from Oberlin, David has been employed as a saxophone teacher and as a professional musician.  He teaches students of all ages, both privately, and at the Music and Arts Center of Plymouth Meeting. His jazz band, The Fishkin Four, is available through Magical Sight & Sound your wedding.  Their instrumentation is saxophone, guitar, bass, and drums.  All of the musicians in this group are top notch.  They play music that can appeal to people of all ages: they play jazz standards and wedding perennials such as "The Way You Look Tonight", but they also specialize in jazz renditions of songs that younger people can appreciate, like "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "Crazy for You."  With bandmembers in their mid to late 20's, The Fishkin Four has a unique sound and is a very fun band.  Not only this, but they have the versatility to play classical music during the wedding ceremony, jazz during cocktail hour, and dance music for the reception.  Visit here for a sample of this band's talent.

"The Affordable Wedding Band"

Jazz Quartet
(saxophone, guitar, bass & drums)

David Fishkin, founding member of The Affordable Wedding Band, has been playing saxophone for 21 years (since age 7).  He attended Friends' Central School, where he played in jazz band, orchestra, and chamber groups.  While David was in high school, he also played in the student ensemble of the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and Performing Arts.  At the Clef Club, he was instructed by many incredible musicians, including Byard Lancaster and Reid Anderson (who now plays in the Bad Plus).  David then attended Oberlin College, where his studies of music intensified.  He studied classical saxophone with Paul Cohen, jazz improvisation with Peter Dominguez,

arranging/composition with Wendell Logan, and he played in jazz ensembles under the direction of Robin Eubanks.  During winter breaks, David took lessons with Bobby Watson in New York.  He also spent a semester in Philadelphia studying with Odean Pope, and played in his student Saxophone Choir.

The Seán J. Kennedy Quartet focuses on original compositions and new arrangements of time-honored standards. With Seán on drums, the group features Erin Stroup on saxophones, John Stenger on piano, and Raymond Clemens on bass

As stated in a recent review on http://www.jazzreview.com/, Kennedy’s quartet is “creatively new, but built on solid foundations of traditional jazz.”   http://www.philly2nite.com/ says..."These guys make other quartets look a little weak. They're tight, well-rehearsed and fun to hear."
